About us

We came together in 2020 as a result of the first lockdown, joining forces to build a workshop in SE London to work on a new set of guitar designs which would become the Fairlane range. Originally working under the Providence moniker, we have been honing our designs with invaluable input from a set of world class musicians road testing our creations at shows and in the studio (while also seeing over a thousand guitars on our benches for repairs and setups along the way..)

KEVIN WILLIAMS
For the past 30 years Kevin has pretty much covered it all from playing, recording, selling, tour managing, guitar teching and most recently dedicating himself to the craft of building high quality guitars.

Kevin studied under Mike Hobbs at Merton College and then went to work for Matt Gleeson at Monty's Guitars at their West London workshop, where he gained an immense amount of knowledge regarding repairs.

REUBEN GOTTO

Reuben has worked as a touring backline tech for over 20 years, and has looked after guitars for artists such as Robert Plant, Lana Del Rey, Foals, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pixies, Alt-J, Lianne La Havas, Nile Rodgers, Laura Marling and many more.

A busy recording and touring guitarist himself, and collector of weird and wonderful instruments, he understands the importance not only of a high quality finish and setup, but also the personal character and feel of a guitar.
